Well my english teacher said all of us had to write a poem about some important incident. so i decided to write one about the incident when he asked us to write this. (thankfully she didnt ask us to read out our poems, so i didnt have to deal with the hand of retribution
)
"Go write a poem", said Madam,
And we were all thunderstruck
I thought of writing about Eve and Adam
Or about a hero with considerable pluck.
"Include lots of imagery" read the text book
Of sight sound as well as smell
For imagery, I knew not where to look
And i had trouble with rhyme as well.
My favorite sound is the lunch bell
And my favorite smell is that of paneer
With frustration I was running pell-mell
But I still did persevere.
In the end, make a poem I did
A poem about my plight,
When I recited it, I was told to put a lid
Over my mouth and i was forced to take flight.
